The story of American Posts & Steelworks LLC began in March 2005, and much of its success can be attributed to President David E. Feniger. He grew up working for Universal Metals under the guidance of his father, and now has more than 20 years of experience as a leader in the steel and service sector. The Feniger family has been in business in the steel industry for three generations.
Our close proximity to many steel mills and the interstate system enables us to support just-in-time inventory programs and obtain favorable freight rates.

What We Do
American Posts & Steelworks LLC is a steel manufacturing company that was established in March 2005 and is a division of Northwestern Holding Company LLC. The company is based in Toledo, Ohio, and it is the only remaining manufacturer of steel u-posts and wire for the lawn and garden industry in the United States. The company's sister companies, Universal Metals LLC, and Ohio-Kentucky Steel LLC, also operate in the steel industry.
One of the specialties of American Posts & Steelworks is its just-in-time delivery system, which helps to minimize customer inventory and reduce the cost of doing business. We provide timely delivery of products to you, our customers, and reduce the need for you to maintain large inventories.
